Your customers have their own account on your public site, at <your-handle>.mysoftbooq.com/account. They sign in with a 6-digit code sent to their email. There is no password and no user licence to buy: customers are not users of your workspace.

What your customers see

  • Invoices: pay online, download the PDF or the e-invoice
  • Orders: track them, and Order again
  • Quotes: respond to them
  • Contracts, credit notes, returns, payment plans, reminders and bookings
  • Support requests: raise one, reply, and rate the answer (Softbooq Pro)
  • Projects (Softbooq Plus and Pro) and documents you share with them
  • Saved card or direct debit, and Your details
  • Your data: download a copy, or ask for their data to be erased
Each section shows only what belongs to that customer. The customer account itself is included on every plan.

Give someone access

Access is managed on the customer’s record in CRM, in the Customer account panel.
1

Open the customer in CRM

The Customer account panel lists who can sign in, and when they last did.
2

Enter their email under Email address to invite, then Invite

They receive an email with a sign-in link. Copy sign-in link gives you the same link to send yourself.
Anyone using the email address on the customer record can also sign in on their own, unless self sign-in is switched off for your workspace. Then only people you invite can sign in. To take access away, choose Remove access. They are signed out on their next click.
